Book on LifeFriday Favourites: Week 6
I felt like I had a very short week, even though I was up in Auckland on a work trip – check out what I got up to here. The days went by fast and as much as I like to be busy, there were certain times of the day where I just lost all motivation.
I caught up with a friend over drinks at my apartment and it was nice to wind down and relax – plus I hadn’t seen her in a long time. Besides that, my week has really been work work work! I love it though, I’m working on three projects and sometimes the stress is at an all time high; but I’ve been able to manage.
So here are a couple of pictures that got me through this week.

You need to realize that if you want things to change, you need to take the first step.
Favourite | Getaway
When I daydream, this is what I think of and where I want to be.
Favourite | DIY
I would love to try this! Coffee smelling candles.
Favourite | Hair Colour
I am wanting to dye my hair again for summer coming up but haven’t really been able to decide until I came across this picture! I love the brunette colour and highlights!
Favourite | Part of my trip!
On the last night of my travel roadshow we were taken to the Penthouse of one of the hotels we visited and they served us high tea. Although instead of tea, most of us went straight for the champagne! Beautiful view and a great way to end the trip!
How was your week?
xx
Update: Omg It’s October
I’m pretty tired today, trying to wake up this morning was hard.
Daylight savings started on Sunday morning and I didn’t even notice until it was late afternoon and I started to feel tired. Normally that would be 3pm in the afternoon but I realized it was only 2pm and it wasn’t until I remembered that the time had already clicked over and I had an extra hour to do what ever I wanted! I was stoked.
My weekend was pretty quiet, mostly spent at home writing my blog and doing some house work. Not very exciting I know, but I was happy that I had no plans and could just take some time to do things I had delayed for a while. I’m a tidy person, I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed but I have been compared to Monica from Friends at times when it come to my cleaning habits – I just like to have things tidy.
On Sunday I had coffee with my sister in Cuba and did a bit of window shopping for a good 30 minutes and made most of the sun. It’s been sunny in Wellington the last couple of days and amazingly no wind! Even today has been fantastic, so I took a walk at lunch. Work has been so busy that it’s all I’ve been thinking about!
Here’s my agenda for the week:
- Buy vegetables @ Farmers Market
- Write some more articles for my blog
- Read/Finish my 3 month old book
- Order new makeup
- Inspire someone
- Gym
What is your week looking like?

Update: Hello Spring!
The best thing about today is not because it is NOT raining, but it’s the second day of Spring!! The cold Wellington weather will finally start to calm and ease into the warmer days. It’s only 3 months until December and not long before our sunny, hot summer kicks in!
Besides my excitement for the weather and the start of a new month, it has been a very busy last week of August. Here are a couple of these things:
I look through all magazines for inspiration on topics to write for my blog. Most of the time, they are not feature length articles I write but these ideas are what kick start my thoughts on how I feel about topics.
This week was really busy for me at work, full of meetings and planning for next week. So my team finished the week off with cosmos, beer and wine! Oh and supporting Daffodil Day - symbolizing hope for 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer.
Spent the night finishing off a bottle of wine at my friend KJ’s 25th birthday! Winter wonderland themed party in Miramar.
Besides trying to make time to write this entry into my blog, the rest of my spare time this weekend was spent packing. Moving into our new apartment next weekend so all the packing had to be done this weekend, knowing me I won’t have the motivation after work this coming week to do more packing.
I hope you all like the new theme I have chosen, I especially love the slider option of this theme to highlight some of my favourite entries that I’ll be adding. If you like it, try it out here
By the way..
Have a good week everyone x
